About

That's me working around the SPEAR beampipe in 1973.

I am an experimental particle physicist, hardware hacker, computer scientist, piano player.

I was born in Pittsburgh, PA; grew up in Scranton, PA, and after one year at Scranton Central High School, I left: for Andover, for Harvard, for Princeton and a career in physics and consulting. Like my wife Jessie Hartland, I have been self employed for decades. I love the freedom that working for yourself provides. I love to travel, often with my family, and visit family members and others around the world.
